Reforms to Comprehensive Ranking System under the Express Entry!

Posted on Posted in Immigration Canada, International Student Admissions, International Student Advisor

On November 19, 2016, changes to the allocation of points under the Comprehensive Ranking System came into force. The changes include:

  • an extension of the submission period after an Invitation To Apply is issued
  • reforms of the allocation of points for certain job offers without a Labour Market Impact Assessment
  • introduction of additional points for international graduates of Canadian study programs

This system used to allocate points to candidates under the Express Entry Category, which is an electronic and online system that manages applications for permanent residence for certain Economic programs.

The Express Entry also facilitates a faster processing time as Canada seeks out ways to increase economic stability through immigration.
