PEI awards points to candidates in its various immigration categories based on unique points grids that are linked to its Expression of Interest (EOI)-based immigration system. Candidates are awarded a score based on answers submitted during the creation of their EOI profile and are entered into the respective category’s pool.
The minimum point threshold for Business Impact Category candidates was 145 in the August 16 draw, PEI’s Office of Immigration reported. No minimum score was provided for the Express Entry and Labour Impact categories.
The first step for anyone interested in immigrating to PEI is to submit an EOI profile. This is not an application for provincial nomination, but rather an indication of one’s interest in being considered by PEI’s Office of Immigration.
The highest-scoring candidates are invited to submit an application for a provincial nomination from PEI’s Office of Immigration.
Candidates in Canada’s federal Express Entry pool who are nominated by PEI receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points.
