Saskatchewan invites 90 entrepreneur candidates
The province of Saskatchewan issued its first Entrepreneur invitations of 2019 on January 3.
A total of 90 candidates were invited with scores ranging from 115 to 150 under the category's points assessment grid.
Saskatchewan's Entrepreneur Category is for eligible candidates who would like to establish, acquire or partner in a business that meets specified provincial criteria.
Therefore, in order to be eligible, interested immigrant entrepreneurs must first submit an Expression of Interest to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
An EOI is a pre-application. It screens interested candidates for eligibility. Provides them with a ranking score based on the Entrepreneur Category's points assessment grid.
Entrepreneurs are invited to apply for an approval letter, and are subsequently approved. They can therefore apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a Temporary Work Permit.
Hence who fulfill the terms of their Business Performance Agreement with the SINP for at least six months. They can than apply to the SINP for a provincial nomination for permanent residence of Canada.
